To activate the battery in these light-up shoes:
1. Press the area indicated by the arrow on the side of the shoe near the top of the sole.
2. The power switch is then activated - and it is hidden inside the insole.
3. Be sure to turn off the power switch to preserve the life of the battery.
4. Should you need to change out the battery, you will find the compartment located below the Ellie label in the upper portion of the sole. It is a pre-cut channel that will lift up with a bit of tugging.
